What OneBite Is

OneBite is a personal interest tracker that helps you stay engaged with the things you care about. It is operated by Bit X Bit Labs LLC.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your profile photo

We only request basic profile information. We do not request access to your contacts, calendar, files, or any other Google data.

As you use OneBite, we store the content you create: interests, check-ins, notes, expense records, categories, and tags. This data is yours and exists to provide the service to you.

How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon (neon.tech) in the United States. A copy of your data is also kept locally on your device using IndexedDB to support offline access. The local copy stays on your device and is not shared with anyone.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the OneBite service to you. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not train AI models on your data.

Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth for authentication
  • Neon for database hosting
  • Vercel for application hosting

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. No other third-party services receive your data.

Cookies and Tracking

OneBite uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or any other tracking technologies.

Your Rights

You can delete any of your data from within the app at any time. If you would like your entire account and all associated data permanently deleted, contact us and we will process your request promptly.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you through the app. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
